]]> In Bianzone, summer always kicks off with a festival. In the past, there was the wild boar festival organised in partnership with Tuscany. Now, the Associazione Futura Bianzone APS, which has been active in our local area since 1999, organises a day of fun for everyone with the help of around twenty members. The formula? Games, food including burgers, sausage rolls and chips, drinks – with beer taking centre stage – plenty of music, and a desire to offer the village a day of socialising and merriment. As always, the festival is being held at the Omar and Pietro Sports Centre.

This year, the event takes place on 4 July, featuring:

  • 1.00 pm: the Centre’s café opens and remains open all day
  • 4.30 pm: opening of the bouncy castle area
  • 6.00 pm: the kitchen opens
  • music until 2 am the following day

Directing the traffic were the ever-present volunteers from the Civil Defence.

]]> Sunday 22 February at 2 p.m. the traditional Carnival parade will be held, starting from Piazza Vanoni.

Led by the float group of the Associazione Futura Bianzone APS, participants will parade along the village streets to the sound of music.
This year's theme will obviously be the Olympics, which are also taking place in Valtellina these days and to which Bianzone is linked thanks to Nino Bible, the first Italian gold medallist at the Winter Olympics who was born in Bianzone in 1922 and to whom an article was dedicated on the old Ecomuseo website.
Carnival is a cherished tradition in the village, as can be seen in some of the attached period photos (early 2000s, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2024 and 2025) that enhances the territory and the people who inhabit it.
